What should RBS do?
* Recognize the full implications of its operations on climate change, including the core business of financial services. Introduce a comprehensive climate change policy addressing and reducing these impacts.
* Calculate, publish and cap embedded carbon emissions. Announce a target for annual reductions and the strategy to achieve this.
* Replace the Oil and Gas Team with a Sustainable Energy Team, the majority of whose investments are in renewable energy and energy conservation. Shift its portfolio away from projects and companies directed at expanding fossil fuel use.
